Dallas Skinner/Colon Hydrotherapist
What is colon hydrotherapy?
Also known as a “colon”, “colon lavage”, colon irrigation”, or “high colonic”, colon hydrotherapy is a safe, effective method for cleansing the colon of waste material by repeated, gentle flushing with water.
What is the purpose of having colon hydrotherapy?
Well, waste material, especially that which has remained in the colon for some time, (i.e., impacted feces, dead cellular tissue, accumulated mucous, parasites, etc.) poses several problems. First this material is quite toxic (poisonous). These poisons can re-enter and circulate in the bloodstream making us feel ill, tired or weak. Second, impacted materials impair the colon’s ability to assimilate minerals and bacteria-produced vitamins. And finally, a buildup of material on the colon wall can inhibit muscular action causing sluggish bowel movements, constipation, and the result of these disorders.
What makes colon hydrotherapy so special?
In a 45 minute to one hour session, approximately 15 gallons of water is used to gently flush the colon. Through appropriate use of movement, pressure points, etc., the colon hydrotherapist is able to work loose and eliminate far more toxic waste than any other short-term technique.
Is there a special kind of water used for colon hydrotherapy?
We use highly filtered and ultraviolet purified water, which passes through four separate filters before being heated to 98 degrees. This kind of water is capable of absorbing and flushing more toxins out of the colon because of its drawing effect on solid particles, chemicals and other matter. Tap water is not used because it already has numerous chemicals and inorganic substances present.
Okay, it appears to be important to cleanse the colon, but why not use enemas, suppositories or laxatives instead?
Well, everything has its proper place, but those things really aren’t substitutes for colon hydrotherapy. Enemas are useful for emptying the rectum (the lowest 8 to 12 inches of the colon). Usually, one or two pints of water are used to do that. Suppositories are intended to accomplish the same task. Laxatives, particularly herbal laxatives, are formulated for various purposes, such as to undo the effects of temporary constipation, etc. But the “Rolls Royce” of colon cleansing without question is colon hydrotherapy.
And what can I expect afterwards?
Most likely, you’ll feel great. Probably you’ll feel lighter and enjoy a sense of well-being. Not infrequently, someone having their first session will remark that it was one of the most wonderful experiences of their life. As soon as the colon hydrotherapy session is finished you can carry on with your daily routine.

A ponytail is everyone's favorite go-to hairstyle because it's the easiest way to deal with your hair when you don't have the time or energy to style it. Recently the ponytail has gotten an upgrade thanks to some trendy celebrities who have been sporting glamorous versions on the red carpet. I believe that this look is one you can do yourself. After being in L.A. for the Emmy Awards i learned that dressing for a formal event isn't as hard as it looks! The phrase "less is more" comes to mind..i've come up with a step-by-step guide to doing it yourself..Enjoy!
1). Apply a Redken outshine anti-frizz cream to damp hair, then blowdry using a round brush to create body.
2). Use a fine-tooth comb to tease the hair at the crown of your head, then gather your hair into a high ponytail using your fingers and secure with an elastic.
3). Take a small section of hair from the ponytail, wrap it around the elastic and hide the end with a pin. Sweep your bangs or face framing pieces off to one side.
4). Finish with Redken Forceful 23 firm holding hairspray

SUMMER MAKEUP TIPS
-
Take on summer with a fresh face forward - less is best! Accentuate your glowing skin by brushing on BED HEAD light shimmering powder instead of a heavy foundation. You don't want to appear like you are melting under the hot sun.
-
A body bronzer is a must-have for the summer! This is a great way to give yourself a pretty glow. Use BED HEAD Bronzer powder on your eyelids, above your cheekbones, and on your shoulders and collarbone.
-
A hot look on a bronzed face is shiny lip gloss. The BEST is "Dumb Blonde" by BED HEAD. It gives you ultra shine over lipstick (applied with a brush) or on its own. Plus, it stays put - a big bonus for die-hard lip gloss wearers!
-
Try a light shimmery Bed Head eye shadow in Champagne just under your brow bone to draw attention to your eyes.
-
If you are wear mascara, try a waterproof. This way you will avoid "Raccoon Eyes" when you are perspiring or near water. Don't forget the must-have partner, eye make-up remover, or else you really will end up with the dreaded dark circles!
